PUBLIC NON-CONTACT VISITATION ON SITE VIDEO VISITATION
General Information Emergencies in the jail sometimes require the cancellation of all visits. The people who enter or exit the jail, along with items brought into the jail, are subject to search to ensure the safe, secure, and orderly operation of the jail and to control contraband and provide for its disposition. Any person entering the secure perimeter of the jail is subject to a visual, pat and/or frisk search performed by staff of the same sex as the person being searched. Any person who is not in custody and who elects not to submit to such search will not be permitted to remain and will be directed out of the jail. Public Non-Contact "Face to Face" Visitation Inmates classified as Minimum Inmates, AODA, Huber, Community Service Workers, and Inmate Workers may receive a non-contact visit (behind glass with telephone) from an outside person (family or friend) on Sunday during the visitation time scheduled for their security level-housing unit. These visitation times are posted below. It is the inmate’s responsibility to inform their visitors of the time for registration. Jail staff will not give out visitation information. Each minimum inmate is allowed only one (1) visit per week consisting of a 20-minute duration. Inmates on discipline status do not receive any visits. All visitors must be at least 18 years of age (or accompanied by an adult) and completely sober. NO CELL PHONES are allowed in the Law Enforcement Center during visitation. Each visitor must be prepared to present a photo identification card that includes the following: Name; Date of Birth; Hair Color; Sex/Race; Height/Weight; Color of Eyes. Only 4 visitors (no matter the age of the visitor) are allowed for each inmate visit. Visits will be terminated if an inmate or visitor engages in inappropriate behavior or inappropriate language. If the inmate you want to visit is not located on a floor that is listed below and they are not on discipline, they are eligible for a video visit only. These visits can be scheduled at the computer provided in the lobby of the Main Street Professional Entrance of the Racine County Jail during the following hours: 8:00am-11:00am, 1:00pm-4:30pm, and 6:00pm-9:00pm.
