- General Information
- In 1971, Statute 83.013 was signed into law which requires each county in Wisconsin to have a community-level, multi-disciplinary Traffic Safety Commission
- The Commission is required to include a designated law enforcement officer, highway safety coordinator and highway commissioner (or designated representative)
- The Commission is also required to include an engineer from WI DOT, a regional program manager from WI DOT Bureau of Transportation Safety and a State patrol trooper / inspector.
- The Commission should also include representatives from education, medicine and law
