Racine County has a vast trail system that welcomes bicyclists, hikers, and cross-country skiers.

Cross-country skiing is allowed on any Racine County bike trail.

Bicycle Safety Tips
- Always wear a helmet to protect your head
- Wear brightly colored clothing
- Ride a well-maintained bicycle
- Check brakes and tire inflation regularly
- Use headlights and taillights at night
- Have 3-inch reflectors on your back fender
- Look out for hazardous surfaces
- Obey all traffic laws, signs, and markings
- Never ride against traffic
- Ride on the right edge of the pavement
- Ride in single file
- Always use hand signals to let cars and pedestrians know what you are going to do
