The Racine County Dog Park Memorial Brick Program provides an opportunity for pet owners to remember their pets with a memorial brick.

Memorial bricks are located at the entrances of the Karen A. Nelson Memorial Dog Park and Jean M. Jacobson Dog Park.

The Racine County Memorial Tree Program allows citizens to honor a loved one with a memorial tree and optional plaque.

All costs relating to the memorial, including but not limited to, the tree, plaque, and installation are to be paid by the applicant. The Department of Public Works is responsible for reviewing and approving memorial tree applications. See application for more details.

Located inside of Pritchard Park, the Veterans Memorial was built in 1993 by Racine County volunteers. You can visit the Memorial's page here.

Those wishing to dedicate a brick to a fallen veteran can apply for a memorial brick in their honor.

Does the County have recommended vendors for memorial trees and plaques?

Yes. We will provide you with our vendor list once your application has been reviewed.

Does the County still allow memorial benches?

At this time, Racine County Parks is not looking to install new benches in any of our parks. However, applications for a memorial plaque on an existing bench will be considered.
