Kinship Care is a payment program available to relatives providing care to minor children because there is a need to protect the children from the risk of abuse or neglect by the parent. For more information on this program, visit the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families website.
Some of the qualification requirements for Kinship include:
- Applicant must be related to the child
- All persons in the home must pass a criminal background check
- The children are living with the applicant because there is a need to protect them from abuse/neglect by the parent.
