Racine County is responsible for the prevention and detection of public assistance fraud. Public assistance fraud is based on Chapter 40 of the Wisconsin Statues https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/49. Racine County’s Fraud Program consists of fraud prevention, fraud investigation, and fraud overpayment collection.
