POLICY STATEMENT

The Racine County – Human Services Department is committed to providing equal opportunity in all programs, services and activities to individuals who do not speak English as their primary language and who have a limited ability to read, write, speak or understand English. Those individuals are referred to as limited English proficient, or “LEP.” Meaningful access to Federally funded programs and activities is required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its implementing regulations.

Si siente que ha sido tratado de manera diferente debido a su edad, raza, religión, color, sexo, origen nacional, o ascendencia, discapacidad o asociación con una persona con discapacidad, antecedentes de arresto o condena, orientación sexual, estado civil o embarazo, creencia o afiliación política, una participación militar, o el uso o no uso de productos legales fuera de las instalaciones de los empleadores o proveedores de servicios durante las horas de trabajo, puede presentar una queja.  Forma de queja de discriminación en la presentación de servicios.

Hope Otto, Human Services Director, is responsible for the overall operation of the Human Services Department while Division Managers have more limited areas of responsibility.

If you are receiving service from the Human Services Department your most effective way for communicating with the department is through the social worker or case manager assigned to you or their immediate supervisor.Your social worker or case manager can tell you the name and contact information of their supervisor.They can also provide information about appealing a decision that you believe is wrong.
