The Juneteenth Celebration not just educated the community about this important moment in history, when on June 19, 1865, the final enslaved person learned they were free nearly two years after the emancipation proclamation. This event also connected people to minority business owners with contractors and learned how to start, grow and sustain their businesses along with other importance resources available to the public.
