The homestead credit program is designed to soften the impact of property taxes and rent on persons with lower incomes.  Please review the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Fact Sheet below to determine if you qualify for this credit.  If you qualify, you file for this credit when preparing your Wisconsin state income tax return using the appropriate filing form.
