About
The seven (7) member Committee was created through Wisconsin State Statutes to carry out the responsibilities for conserving soil, water, and related natural resources. The Committee is made up of any number of County Board Supervisors, up to two appointed representatives, and a USDA Farm Service Agency representative. The Committee guides local priorities and its environmental vision to the Land Conservation Department staff to implement best management conservation practices, enforce local ordinances and take the lead to promote conservation programs provided by the Federal and State governments.
