Payment & Refund Information
The Court views obligations to pay fines, forfeitures, costs, surcharges, assessments, fees, restitution, and reimbursements seriously and expects payment in full on or before the due dates imposed.
Where/How:
Online: Unpaid fine and forfeiture payments may be made online with a MasterCard, VISA, or electronic check through the Wisconsin Courts Website.

Unpaid Traffic Citations and other fines and forfeitures can be made through Government Payment Service (GovPayEXP) using VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.

A photo ID (driver’s license or state ID card) may be required when making payment or applying for a refund.
To help ensure your payment had been processed accurately, please make sure you receive and review your receipt before you leave.

Refunds
When filing a case or purchasing forms & documents, we do NOT normally give refunds if you:
- simply change your mind, or
- make a wrong decision, or
- are unsuccessful in what you are attempting to accomplish.
We strongly encourage you to consult an Attorney prior to filing a case or purchasing forms and documents.
Bail/Bond is ordered and refunded according to state statute and judicial order. If bond is to be returned, a refund will be made:
- After the disposition of the case,
- To the person who put the Bail/Bond on deposit, and
- Within 4-6 weeks,
- All bail/bond refunds will be refunded by US Mail.
Please note that any restitution, fines, forfeitures, or costs imposed against a defendant can and will be paid out of the bond/bail posted without further notice. We strongly recommend any party posting bond to carefully read review the Notice to All Parties Posting Cash Bond BEFORE posting bond/bail.
