Racine County Summer Youth Employment Program (RCSYEP) is a positive youth development program that partners with local businesses, city and county agencies, and organizations to provide youth ages 15-18 with paid work experience for 8 weeks during the summer. Prior to starting their job, RCSYEP participants are provided Career Readiness, Skill Development and Financial Literacy Education.

Youths need to fill out the online form by the due date. You find the application here. Applications are reviewed and selected youth will be scheduled for an interview with the selection committee.

The program is 8 weeks long starting sometime in June and ending early August.

We partner with local businesses, government agencies, and organizations located in Racine County.

All youth participants accepted into the program are placed at job sites based upon multiple factors:

• Youth’s home location
• Compatibility with other youth in program
• Preference to type of work and specific job sites
• Youth Assessment results

Youths will work a maximum of 16 or 20 hours. Youths are required to attend Skill Development Workshops every other Friday and will only be allowed to work 16 hours the weeks they are scheduled to attend.

Youths will be paid $12 per hour for a maximum of 16 or 20 hours.

Attire will be determined based on your worksite. During Skill Development Workshops attire is casual.

Transportation will be provided for youth participants who do not have access to transportation to and from your job site.
