REFLECTION - A PHOTOVOICE PROJECT
Are you a photographer or aspiring photographer who identifies as a survivor of sexual violence? We'd love to work with you!
BeLEAF is the proud recipient of a Racine Arts Council Art Seed Grant! Over the next 7 months, our REFLECTION: PhotovoiceProject will help survivors who often feel voiceless express themselves in an artisitc way.
As a survivor photographer you will:
have access to 3 free evening workshops (in October, November, and January), led by a photographer and advocate, to gain creative skills
produce a body of photographic work thatrecords and reflects on your experiences using thought provoking and inspiring prompts
have ongoing contact with a BeELAF advocate to discuss the images you took and be able to process feelings in a safe and supportive environment
get photographic tech support throughout the process
submit one of your pieces of work to be showcased at a REFLECTION: PhotovoiceExhibition in April 2025 during Sexual Assault Awareness Month
be our VIP guest at the REFLECTION: PhotoviceExhibition opening event in April 2025.
receive a framed copy of the photo selected for the exhibit
