Unclaimed funds are funds turned over to the County Treasurer's Office from municipalities and county departments for owners who are entitled to the money, but who have failed to claim ownership of it.  Often times, uncashed checks are due to incorrect or incomplete mailing addresses.  Some examples of unclaimed funds are:

  • Jury Duty checks
  • Bail Money
  • Overpayment refunds
  • Vendor payments 
  • Bond Refunds
  • Deposits
  • Overpaid Court Fees
