TechHire provides no cost opportunities for young adults ages 17-29 to learn in-demand skills that lead to employment in the technology industry. After successful completion of the training program, students can intern with a local company.
TechHire is a partnership between the Southeastern Wisconsin Workforce Development Board and Gateway Technical College and funding is provided by the Employment and Training Administration of the US Department of Labor.
TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT
Occupational growth projections show the need for Web Developers will grow by 22% between 2014-2024. Entry-level web programmers can earn up to $36,000/year. Now is the time to get certified! Cost-free training for technology occupations is provided to eligible candidates. Occupations include:
- Computer Support Specialist
- Web Developer
- Computer System Analyst
- Application Software Developer
- System Software Developer
Eligible candidates are 17 to 29 years old with a High School Diploma or GED and a desire to work in the technology industry.
